The Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao
The Guggenheim Museum Bilbao is a museum of modern and contemporary art located in Bilbao in the Spanish Basque Country which opened to the public in 1997. It is one of the five museums of the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation. The innovative structure of the building was designed by Frank Gehry in the style that made it famous. Its silhouette is the result of a singular assemblage of stone, glass and titanium. The museum quickly became one of the most famous and appreciated contemporary buildings in the world, contributing for the renewal and notoriety of the city.
